Community Outreach Specialist

Families First  is seeking a Community Outreach Specialist to  work part time and/or relief  time  in Brattleboro.   The right candidate will work well as a  team member and have experience with special needs.  The hours needed are listed below. Compensation is $14.00 per hour. EOE

Home Provider/ Professional Roommate

Families First  is seeking someone to welcome a young man into their  Brattleboro home to help him achieve a greater level of independence.  Some experience with Autism and developmental disabilities is desirable. You need to be able to assist with activities of daily living, helping this young man with his personal grooming and hygiene. Experience working with a team and good communication skills are a plus. A strong team of human services professionals will support you. Your home must meet housing standards and have a separate room.
A generous tax-free stipend is offered. EOE

Service Coordinator

Families First , a progressive non-profit that serves individuals with special needs in the Deerfield Valley/ Brattleboro area is seeking a full time service Coordinator. This is a Leadership team position.
The Service Coordinator carries a caseload of 12-14 consumers. Responsibilities include hiring and supervision of direct care staff, attending meetings, conducting home visits, and being responsible for all aspects of the consumer’s Medicaid wrap-around waiver. Knowledge of the State of Vermont’s Medicaid regulations is very helpful. Must be detail oriented and timely with paperwork.
We are looking for someone who is kind, thoughtful, and a conscientious team member. A sense of humor and a willingness to think creatively and work proactively on behalf of those we serve is essential. A Bachelor’s degree in human services or liberal arts is required. Must have reliable transportation.

Home Provider/ Professional Roommate 

Families First is a forward-thinking agency that serves children and adults with
developmental disabilities. We are building a dynamic program and need a professional
roommate to join our team and live with a young man, in Brattleboro. This youth is
interested in gaining his independence with your guidance. You will help with a daily
schedule, including getting him to doctors appointments and various activities. Be a role
model, teach life skills, and earn a tax-free income.  EOE

Home Provider/ Professional Roommate

Families First is seeking per diem respite providers to care for clients in your home.  Mostly weekends hours.  Must have separate bedroom for individuals served.  The  right candidate will possess a professional attitude, work well within a team setting, and have experience with the special needs population.
