How to Advertise for Respite

Families First does not directly hire applicants for Respite.

As such, Families First does not typically extend benefits or training to respite applicants. On rare occasions, special circumstances may lead to Families First involvement in Respite. Home Providers are provided with stipends to hire their own Respite. However, finding the right applicant may not be the easiest task.

If you are seeking guidance on how to find applicants for weekend respite, consider the following.

Please note that the Home Provider of the advocate is responsible for moving forward with interviews and hiring.

To advertise for staffing;

post on social media, create physical flyers, ask your acquaintances, or use an online job posting site. A common job posting site that many Human Service Providers utilize, is Indeed.
